To enjoy Hi-Res Audio and LDAC at 24bit/96kHz, ensure that LDAC is enabled on compatible Android™ OS smartphones, with the correct bitrate set and immersive sound turned off.

Immersive sound enhances music and video on compatible applications. By default, immersive sound is turned off but can be activated through the Xiaomi Earbuds app. The LDAC audio codec cannot be used simultaneously with immersive sound.

The National Institute of Metrology in China has released data on active noise cancellation testing. The product attained a depth of 52dB ANC within a specified frequency range and 4kHz at a particular depth range, although these tests were conducted separately rather than simultaneously. Results may differ based on usage. To switch between ANC and transparency modes, simply touch and hold one earbud. Access to the settings for ANC and transparency modes is limited to the Xiaomi Earbuds app.

*Disclaimer on battery life and fast charging conditions: The stated 38-hour duration is based on tests performed with the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G (MIUI Global 14.0.23) and earbuds version V4.3.7.0. During the testing, the earbuds were fully charged to 100%, with the volume set at 50%, using Bluetooth encoding in AAC mode, and both transparency mode and dual-device connection disabled. The process involved fully depleting the Redmi Buds 5 Pro battery by playing audio until one earbud stopped working. Before charging, ensure that the charging port is clear of liquids and foreign objects. Battery life and charging information originate from the manufacturer's internal tests; actual results may vary due to firmware updates, usage habits, charge levels, and environmental conditions.*

To facilitate 5-minute rapid charging, the battery of the charging case must be at least 20% charged.

To enable this feature, download the Xiaomi Earbuds App. Third-party applications are necessary for synchronized call handling. The names of the settings may vary. To use with two devices, activate it through the app on one device and connect the second via Bluetooth.
